Darren knew deep inside that he really wasn't human any more, and neither was this guy. Yet, he could sense that the two of them still had some measure of humanity left, unlike those creepy monsters. That lady, Helen, she seemed nice but she was a weird freak. He couldn't make sense of the stories she told, how much of it was bullshit? Those magic tricks she showed him, that wasn't just parlor games either. Her sister, the silent smirker, what terrible thoughts lurked behind that blond head? --and he couldn't even think about Mr. Gangles, the tall freak. He was the most dreadful of all.

Darren tried to heave his dinner up, pathetically.
       "Oh please. I'm not that gross. Your body needs that, it's not in your belly anyway, it goes into your veins real quick." Jack folded his arms.
       "Man! I.. I can't do this!"
       "Why not? You gotta eat somehow..."
       "No, I mean, it's against GOD man!"
       "...You are not serious."
       "Yes! I mean, like all the abominations and shit? I don't wanna be that!"
       "I've been an 'abomination' since I was 12. It ain't that bad, trust me."
