    "Why is Greyburn wearing a monkey mask?" Jack asked Demetri.
Demetri smiled, seeing Jack was slightly more receptive to him than Vitus at the moment.
    "Not just any monkey - the silver monkey Dorein. Guess Greyburn fancies himself the anti-God right now. You don't recognise it?"
    "Oh.. that evil monkey with the crowns?"
    "Heh, I guess I overestimated the Godchurch's lack of influence afterall..."
    "Is that where it's from? I just saw it on a t-shirt."
Demetri smiled again.
In which Demetri would rather be watching You Make Me Crazy.

     "Hope your Darren is good with an Avant board." Thierry told Helen, not taking his eyes off the stage.
    "I'm sure he is!"
Helen hated it when the others picked on her, Thierry was the worst.
    "Good, because Arsonella played professionally when she was a child." he said.
    "Yeah and Carlton's dad runs the Harlan Avant guild!" Francesca said.
    "Well, Darren told me he knows 'all about Avant' and 'he's a pro and shit.'" Helen said matter-of-factly.
    "I'm still gonna win," Thierry muttered, "Arsonella knows all about vampires, she has a website."

     Argh my internet went down really hard, so I got a bunch of EXTRA drawings scanned while I waited. These are drawings/paintings me and Christopher have done either recently, or in the original version of the Kingfisher. I'll keep adding new ones as the plot progresses.

AUBREY: Arsonella Jones, occult bookstore clerk- Lepponen.

AUBREY: Darren Langley, failed local “rockstar”- Greyburn itself.

DARREN: Hey!

HELEN: Go Darren!

AUBREY: Begin now!

AUBREY: Set the timer to three minutes!
