TRANSCRIPT: This is the script and description of the comic, for purposes such as accessibility and internet searches.
1.)
(The comic is in black and white. We are in a car driving a dark forest road, the headlights showing the way.)
INTERTITLE: (in red) THE KINGFISHER PRESENTS
2.)
(It's Karl and Jack in the car. Jack is at the wheel. It's a convertible with the roof down.)
KARL: So, do I even want to ask where this car came from?
JACK: I dunno, do you?
3.)
(Jack smiles, thinking back on his acquisition of the sporty ride. In the mental bubble, Jack is sitting in the car with stern Demetri at hand.)
JACK: It's a loaner...
DEMETRI: (in the flashback) If anyone has sex in this car, I need to be there.
JACK: (in the flashback) Sure, gramps. (flashes peace sign)
4.)
(Back in the present, Karl is expressing his worry mildly. Jack is his usual dismissive self.)
KARL: Are we almost there? A 'surprise' this far in the woods is a bit sketchy...
JACK: Oh come on, if I needed to bury a body I could do it by myself.
5.)
(A spooky cabin looms in sight.)
KARL: Oh. A cabin?
JACK: I thought you loved camping?
KARL: No, not really.
JACK: Oh. Huh. Must've been someone else.
6.)
(As they carry a cooler toward the cabin, a spooky figure is silhouetted in the background holding an axe. A horror movie title is above in red.)
TITLE: A DATE AT SUMMER LAKE
KARL: It's the thought that counts, I guess.
