1.)
(Rendered to resemble a weathered comic strip of yesteryear, this panel bears the title "Vitus Investigates," and the image of detective Vitus with a smoking gun.)
2.)
(Farley creeps through a sewer.)
FARLEY: "Hello? Boss? Ugh.. Man...."
3.)
(Far above Farley, the big blobbity goo daddy of the Crowboys floats silently through the darkness.)
FARLEY: "If yer here, we, uh, got a bit of a problem..."
FARLEY'S CELL PHONE: "BEDEBEDEBEDE..."
4.)
(As Farley answers the phone call, the horrible monster looms into his field of vision, floating upside down right next to him.)
FARLEY: "Vitus, uh, bad time, man..."
5.)
(Elsewhere, Vitus makes a cranky face, talking to Farley on his cell phone.)
VITUS: "Farley, what is your progenitor's name? About time we stopped calling you 'Crowboys'..."
6.)
(Minchin begins to transform into a more familiar monster shape.)
FARLEY: "Just a sec, Vitus... (to Minchin) Ya see what I mean?"
MINCHIN: "Tell him."
7.)
(Farley talks with a fully human-looking Minchin, who has a genial air as usual.)
FARLEY: "Wasn't it s'posed to be a big damned secret?"
MINCHIN: "Do I look like I care?"
VITUS: (over the phone) "What did he do to Jac-" ("boop" sound of Farley hanging up.) |
